Beaches of Bermuda |
| Some of the beaches in Bermuda are public, some private. Most private beaches are owned by big resorts or hotels and feature many more attractions than just swimming. The public beaches are just as beautiful, albeit without showers, or waterskiing. Public beaches in Bermuda are open from dusk till dawn.

Elbow BeachThe waters here are perfect for swimming and body surfing. The eastern part of the beach is owned by the Elbow Beach Bermuda Hotel, but there's a large section of shore for the public to enjoy. Horseshoe Bay Beach Located in Southampton Parish, this is Bermudas most famous beach. Theres a lifeguard on duty from May to September, and the Beach House offers complete facilities, including rental equipment, to beachgoers. Tobacco Bay Beach One of the region's most popular and a favourite spot for snorkelling, this beach invites guests to explore offshore rocks that harbour snapping turtles, parrotfish, blue angels and four-eyed butterfly fish. You could walk out to see the coral formations. Visitors enjoy public facilities, as well as equipment rentals and food venues. Warwick Long BayThe sand here stretches for about half a mile, with a scenic backdrop of steep cliffs and brush-covered hills. Bird watchers may spot a number of species as they stroll along cliff trails, past cedar and sea grape trees. Waters may be challenging at times, but kids will love the nearby playground. |
