DINING
If you rate gourmet dining as one of the necessary ingredients of magical vacation memories, then come to The Reefs prepared to believe in magic! That's because dining at The Reefs is truly a magical experience. Imagine! An intimate 65-room island beach resort with three distinctive and exciting restaurants, each featuring differing menus but remaining ever constant to the grail of culinary delectation and gratification.

Grill 56
Grill 56 The Reefs' main dining room is known as Grill 56. Its traditional Bermudian architecture includes solid limestone walls which lend a sense of stately permanence, warmth, and charm. And the glass-roofed Conservatory offers year-round dining under the stars in a wonderful tropical setting. The entire menu changes daily, thereby offering a seemingly endless variety of exquisite dining choices. While offering such a variety of delectable entrées is a constant challenge for the chefs, it is one at which they excel. Grill 56 is popular with Bermudians not only for intimate dining, but also as a venue for special occasions like wedding receptions and parties.

Coconuts
CoconutsDown by the beach and right on the water you will find Coconuts, a very special place recently honoured as the "Best Place to Fall in Love" in the island's "Best of Bermuda" Gold Awards. According to Frommers, there's no finer or more romantic spot in Bermuda for an alfresco sunset dinner than this beach terrace. And while the setting is one that will take your breath away, the cuisine will take you to another world. Come to think of it, isn't that the purpose of a vacation? Featuring cuisine with authentic Cajun, Caribbean, and Bermudian flair, Coconuts offers a varied menu, which offers a truly delicious island dining experience. Coconuts is open for lunch from April to November and dinner May to November. Lunch items include out of the ordinary fare such as Bermuda Crisp Fried Conch Fritters, Warm Grilled Island Vegetable Salad lightly tossed with Lemongrass, Ginger Dressing and Toasted Pinenuts, and Steak and Onion Baguette. Assorted appetizers featured on the evening menu range from Arborio Crusted Gulf Prawns perched on Spinach and Tomato Timbale, to Crisp Almond Encased Chavignol Cheese with a Golden Pineapple Herbed Salsa. There are always delicious homemade soups such as Bermuda Fish Chowder and West Indian Black Bean Soup. Whether it's traditional Caesar or something imaginative like Lump Crab and Roasted Corn with Caviar and Pear Avocado Dressing, there is a salad for you. You won't believe the entrees like Plantain Stuffed Pork Tenderloin, Bacon-wrapped with Cassava Puree, Spiced Pumpkin and Caramelized Fig Compote. Or Broiled Rock Lobster Tail "Caribbean Style," perched on Spinach, Squash and Quinoa with a 12 Year Balsamico Pomegranate Emulsion. Or maybe the Pan Seared Yellowfin Tuna Loin served with Bermuda Honey Glazed Carrots, Callaloo Coo Coo and Trio Bell Pepper Coulis! And they'll just leave the delectable desserts to your hungry imagination. By special order they will also happily arrange a dinner just for two tucked away in a secluded corner of the beach. Now that's romantic!

Ocean Echo Terrace
Ocean Echo TerraceFor the most incredible panoramic views and breathtaking sunsets, you have to experience Grill 56's Ocean Echo Terrace. From fresh seaside breakfasts to dinners under the stars, you can enjoy the same fabulous menu as Grill 56 in an alfresco setting that will make you want to stay forever. Ocean Echo Terrace rests atop the cliffs and is directly off The Grill 56 dining room. Be sure you have your camera with you.

Dine around
The Reefs is part of a unique local group of small luxury properties known as The Bermuda Collection. They share many of the values of traditional inn keeping with their fellow bonifaces and, like them, enjoy the satisfaction of catering to guests who recognize and appreciate life's finer pleasures.
To ensure guests' widest enjoyment of their vacations, they have arranged a dine-around program in which guests of one resort visit and sample the cuisines of other superior establishments. They call it Carousel Dining. On the off chance that their own three different restaurants with their ever-changing gourmet menus still leave you with room for more, they will gladly assist you in visiting any of these fine Bermuda properties:
- Pompano Beach Club
- Cambridge Beaches
- Coco Reefs Hotel
Please note that this program is based on an even exchange with the other participating hotels, so space may be limited. The friendly front desk staff will provide all the details upon your arrival and arrange everything for you.
