Restaurant and bar Castro's Hideaway is named for the most famous (or infamous, depending on your point of view) member of The Reef, Castro the Cockatoo, whose fascinating life story you can read here.This beach bar and grill is in tune with the atmosphere of The Reef, being a relaxed tropical beachfront setting, but with the emphasis on service in the unique style that The Reef is known for. Castro's Hideaway offers breakfast, lunch and dinner overlooking the pristine waters of Colliers Bay. The many resort facilities and amenities include: - A 1450 feet of white sandy beach with world class snorkeling right from the shore - Castro’s Hideaway Beach Bar - The air conditioned restaurant with spectacular upstairs oceanfront views - On site watersports and diving booking centre by the world class Ocean Frontiers team - Swimming pools for all ages - Beach and Water Volleyball - Hot Tub - Poolside hot freshwater showers - Floodlit Tennis Court with equipment available for use - Gym featuring Bow flex Power Pro, Flex deck Treadmill, Bench press, Life fitness 9100 Ski Walker, life fitness Strength, Cycle Machine. Due to resort expansion, their gym will be closed from May 15th 2006 until further notice. They do apologize for the inconvenience, but in the absence of a gym, they do offer many other opportunities for open air exercise, from water aerobics, beach walks, snorkeling, kayaking, bicycles, hiking and many more. - "Beach Locker" Boutique and Dive Shop, open every day from 8AM- 5.30pm - Thirsty Surfer Liquor store and Internet Café - Spa Tortuga offers a full range of upscale Spa Services, including Massage Therapy, Body Treatments, Facials, Swedish Sauna, Vichy Shower, as well as Manicures, Pedicures and other Salon Services. |
