Environmentally friendly practices
As Caribbean leader in environmentally friendly practices, Spice Island Beach Resort has taken the initiative of making the resort completely smoke-free. Effective 15th December 2008, smoking would not be allowed in all areas of the resort. Those previously designated smoking areas (when sitting at the bar or on the dance floor) would become non-smoking areas from 15th December 2008. Effective immediately the hotel has also decided that cigar smoking is not allowed in any part of the resort.
