VACATION NANNIES
FDR Pebbles has an extra special concept which will afford you the time, freedom and peace of mind to relax and truly rejuvenate yourselves: Vacation Nannies - specially trained members of staff are assigned to families with small children and who will always be on hand to care for your youngsters during your stay. Vacation nannies are competent, experienced and love what they do. They're warm and caring people who will accompany their little charges to all the activities at FDR Pebbles such as swimming, painting or treasure hunts. They become your child's first Jamaican friend. They will fondly remember their Vacation Nanny long after you return home. Vacation Nannies remove the worry factor from your vacation and allow you the parental freedom to take time to yourselves, rekindle romance or simply relax. In the event that parents need time alone to go shopping, scuba diving or participate in other activities, the Vacation Nanny will care for the children by taking them to the playground, by the poolside to play games, or for a stroll around the property. Vacation Nannies will also provide additional assistance to parents by bathing, dressing and feeding infants at meal times. Family reunions are also a special time for the Vacation Nannies who are often called on to organize dinners, birthday parties and anniversaries for guests. Their glass bottom boat cruise and snorkeling trips are both educational and fun. See snapper, parrot, squirrel, trumpet and doctor fish in bright neon colours. Spot a barracuda. They all live in their pristine bay. Scuba Diving is an optional activity at Pebbles Resort (additional cost). S.C.U.B.A. Jamaica is P.A.D.I. Certified and offers the best in dive experiences ranging from Recreational to Professional experiences for beginners to professionals. They offer the Bubblemaker's program for kids from 8 years and up, the Discover Scuba program for Teens and Adults, Padi Certification while on your vacation, night dives and much more. They are also Jamaica's ONLY IDC Dive Center with Nitrox & DPV.
FDR Pebbles is environmentally responsible. They are proud of their Green Globe 21 certification as a property that exemplifies sustainable travel and tourism practices. Their habitat friendly grounds are home to many wonderful creatures like the Jamaican icon streamer tail hummingbird, called 'Doctorbird' locally. Children enjoy finding hermit crabs nestled in little seashells. Tiny tree frogs hide in the hibiscus bushes and 'bleep' a gentle greeting in the evening. Cricket songs fill the dusk. Chameleons, aka 'lizards', hunt in the banana trees, changing color on a whim. You'll learn about the history, culture, ecology and natural features of Jamaica. For kids
At Pebbles Resort they entertain your whole family! Play together on the Family Fun Day, learn to dance Calypso, Soca, Ska and Reggae. The emphasis is on learning, but having fun doing it. Challenge your son to a game of tennis, take a biking trip or simply take a walk on the beach together. The bay is untouched and ideal for Sailing, Windsurfing or Kayaking. Kids will enjoy Adventure activities such as fishing in the fishing ponds or in the Caribbean Sea. They will be learning how to sail, collecting shells on the long stretch of adjoining beach, or just playing in the children's wading pool. The Children's Center is open from 7:30 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. daily and is bursting with the latest in state-of-the-art educational and computer games. Here, your Vacation Nanny will take your children to their favorite movies, play Nintendo WII, Sony PlayStation or tie-and-dye and paint T-shirts, participate in arts and crafts, fishing, photography lessons and treasure hunts. Your dedicated Nanny will be there during the daytime, ensuring your youngsters receive the care and attention you expect. She will make sure they are having a lot of fun, no matter what they're doing.

For teens
Pebbles Resort recognizes that teen years can be tricky years too, so they developed a special program for teens and preteens that affords a little extra independence, but doesn't forego attention and supervision. Your teens will discover fun and excitement! They will be kept busy by the exuberant Coordinators who entertain them most of their waking hours. The program emphasizes instruction and group participation in addition to healthy fun. They take them for a swim in a nearby river, hiking, biking, snorkeling, kayaking, sailing or walking along nature trails. They'll have access to the tropical "campsite" for supervised camping and chill out with marshmallows, hotdogs and scary stories around the campfire. They'll see so many stars, they won't believe they're real! Experience a bit of the Jamaican culture - participate in the soccer and cricket clinics - taught by Jamaican professionals, listen and learn about the history of reggae music, learn about and taste fruits indigenous to Jamaica - all with new friends, while having fun! They can 'surf the Net' - WiFi is free, or pick up their email at the Cyber Center. When hanging out at the Teen's Club, they can play all the best computer games including Nintendo WII, Playstation and Xbox 360. There's pool for the cool dudes in the games room and disco for the entertainers. And they can pick up a pizza, burgers, fries, ice cream and an endless variety of drinks whenever hunger strikes in an action filled day. Your teens will enjoy Sports Program. They will become better basketball, soccer, tennis and volleyball players. They'll catch Windsurfing fever and how to sail, snorkel and play tennis, all with instructions. They'll learn about the ecology of the coral reefs upfront and in their swim mask. They can visit one of the natural wonders of the world at the Glistening Waters lagoon where bioluminescence from tiny plankton creates a spectacular light show when they are disturbed by fish or swimmers. They'll learn about the culture, visit heritage sites, they will interact with other teens from all over the world, from countries such as U.S.A., Canada, England, Australia or Sweden and at the end of it all, they will certainly trade email addresses with their new friends.

For adults
Pebbles Resort has not forgotten about parents need for personal time in developing its vision for fun family vacations. So while your children are entertained by what they've learned about Jamaica and meeting new friends, you have the freedom to learn about Jamaican cuisine, art, history and music, rediscover romance, languish in a hammock with a good book, or do absolutely nothing. Unwind. Chill Out. Sunbathe. Pamper yourself with a massage, a manicure and a pedicure. Relax in the Jacuzzi by the ocean and indulge in any number of tropical splashes at the swim up bar in the day. Later, snorkel in the untouched bay and see the myriads of tropical fish in bright neon colours. The bay is untouched and ideal for kayaking, sailing, snorkeling and windsurfing. Stay dry and enjoy a glass bottomed boat ride or immerse yourself and become certified with the optional Discover Scuba Diving program. Their sports are ideal for all ages and come with instructions and all equipment. Be as active as you want or relax and do nothing at all. The choice is yours. To keep in shape and take off those pounds gained from the sumptuous meals here, take advantage of the Gym/Fitness Center which is located just above the Gift Shop, and offers stationary bicycles, a treadmill, step machine plus Aerobics classes twice daily.

Entertainment
The nights come alive with Live Entertainment featuring floor shows, folk performances, dance troupes and cabaret singers all backed by the Pebbles Resort resident band. After Showtime, the resident band continues playing for your dancing and listening pleasure. Then there is also their one-man band to keep you entertained during your stay. The adults-only Main Bar / Piano Lounge opens every night from 10:00 p.m. until you say when. Their talented pianist delights you with live, relaxing music or sing along to favorites or your own requests. Pebbles Resort also features special Karaoke nights. The disco is available for all age groups, playing everything from Reggae to Techno, Ska to Rock and Roll. They stagger schedules to allow each age group their particular time.
